We are excited to announce that Dr. Hong An has joined the BAC as a data scientist. Hong is a biologist focused on utilizing bioinformatics and computational tools to understand the evolutionary process in the human-mediated world. He hopes his research will help humans know more about their food and open new opportunities for crop breeding. Before joining the BAC, Hong earned his Ph.D. at the Huazhong Agricultural University, and then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Scientist with Dr. J. Chris Pires at the University of Missouri. Hong brings extensively experience in plant sciences, genomics, and molecular biology to the core.
